Tiredness during pregnancy

Tiredness during pregnancy

Tiredness is a common symptom during pregnancy and there are several common reasons why this should be so.

Tiredness during pregnancy is most likely to happen in the first three months and again in the last three months before the baby is born. Most women generally feel at their best in the middle few months.

In the first part of pregnancy the tiredness is likely to be due to the effect of the pregnancy hormones. Towards the end, tiredness during pregnancy, is due to the physical effort of carrying the baby. Other possible causes include anemia, diabetes or other underlying medical conditions. If you do feel very tired during pregnancy then make sure you mention it to your doctor or midwife and seek their medical advice about it.
